Anastasia Sorokina – International Educational Leader & FIDE Arbiter
Anastasia Sorokina is an Australian chess arbiter and educational leader currently based in Warsaw, Poland. With over 20 years of international experience, she has led innovative projects in school administration, youth development, and strategic communication across Europe and beyond.
Her work focuses on inclusive, child-centered education, particularly for children with refugee backgrounds and autism spectrum disorders (ASD). She has successfully built multicultural learning environments and directed large-scale events that promote cognitive growth and leadership in youth.
Key leadership roles:
• Chairperson, FIDE Commission for Women’s Chess (2023–Present)
• Vice President, FIDE (2018–2022)
• Founder & Director of chess academies in Europe and Australia (since 2006)
Anastasia has organized youth events with over 400 participants and partnered with schools and governments to implement structured learning systems that inspire teamwork and critical thinking.
